SMILE!!!

This week Virginia had to go to the orthodontist to get her spacers. For those of you, like Jay, who have never had braces these are little blue rubber bands that go in between your teeth to spread them a part for the bands. Those bands will hold the expander in place. But, this part of the process hurts really bad...I remember! It's really just sore from the teeth shifting a part, but she hasn't really been able to bite down on her food so it's been mushing stuff this weekend.

She also had her impressions done...which is a tray full of nasty gooey stuff that molds quickly to the shape of your mouth and teeth. So, it was an interesting trip and she did amazing. She did exactly as they said and was out of there in 30 minutes. We have 2 more visits before they put the expander in. Here are a few photos...
