Lake Lanier Lights

Last night we headed up to Lake Lanier Islands for their light show. We have gone for the past 4 years with our friends the Baughns. It was great to catch up with them and see how much all the kids have grown!
First, we stopped at Wendy's to eat together and to exchange Christmas presents. Thanks Baughn family for all the wonderful gifts! Our girls have already begun painting them. We have also just about devoured the yummy dessert too!

Once we got near the entrance of the lights, we pulled off into a paring lot and let the kids pile in the back of our van. We lay down the back seat so that they all have a great big place to sit and watch the lights. They had so much fun!
It's just the thing to kick off the season! Also, yesterday was our advent study on light. So, going to the lights that night was a perfect activity.

It reminded us that Jesus is the true Light of the World...and he calls us to follow His example to be that light in our homes, families, jobs, communities and world.
