On Monday, my sweet husband took a half day off work to go with us to pick apples and go to Burt's Farm! We had the BEST day ever! The weather was absolutely gorgeous and it never got above 68 degrees and the sun was shining so brightly that we weren't very cold at all.
We ate a quick lunch on the road and went to pick apples first. The only apples we could pick were Rome beauties...and those happen to be our favorites! They were HUGE and the girls just loved climbing the trees to pick the perfect apples for munching and making apple pie this week.
We have been picking apples for the past few years and truly love the tradition. The girls run and play and climb...which is worth the trip! Not to mention the fresh fried apple pies and the yummy apple cider! It was a great start to a great day. I'll post more candids in the next post of all the tree climbing and all the yummy treats!
After we finished picking apples...we loaded back in the car to go down the road to Burt's pumpkin farm for more fall fun!
