On Labor day we joined some of our good friends at Amicalola State park and had a wonderful afternoon! It was a wonderfully cool afternoon and that was good because we had quite a hike. We have been here several times and enjoy the beautiful falls and the exercise!

The girls did a great job! Anli went about 100 miles an hour (as usual) right at the beginning and rock climbing all over the place. But, as we began to climb all those stairs...she got a little tired. But...she stayed with it and did great! We always enjoy the beauty of those falls!

On the way back our friends showed us a "secret" path that led us down the mountain through the woods instead of the stairs. No one was on this trail...and it MADE the whole thing! We found some cool trees...

We enjoyed the coolness of the tree cover. We saw so many neat things along the way and met a few new friends...

like a little baby lizard...

a teeny tine frog...

and a lot of fun!

After the hike down the mountain, we got out our blankets and picnic dinner and enjoyed an evening of relaxing and catching up. It was about the most perfect day I could have imagined. The kids played forever in the creek right by where we ate. What a wonderful Labor Day!
