On Easter morning, Jay went to our sunrise service and stayed there for the rest of the morning preparing for the other 2 services and 3 Life Groups. So, I woke up the girls with excitement so that we could celebrate that HE IS RISEN! The Cross that had hung on our pantry wall for the past 40 days was gone and a banner hung that declared the wonderful news! Also, one white candle was lit on the counter. We had been having our nightly family devotions on the bed by candlelight for the past 40 nights and each Sunday we would blow one of them out. On Good Friday the last candle was snuffed out and none were lit again until Easter morning!
Then, the girls were surprised with a beautiful white flower in their pot. We had buried seeds there on Good Friday and this morning LIFE had burst forth!!! They were so excited!!
After we talked a little while about the Good News...they found lots of wonderful blessings in their baskets and then we headed off to church. It was the start of an AMAZING Easter day!HE IS RISEN INDEED!!!
