Our Crazy Apartment Dog!

Many of you have asked about how Pacey, our beagle, is adjusting to apartment life. We were a little nervous about bringing Pacey to the new place because for the past 2 years he has had free roam in our acre lot chasing rabbits, squirrels, and playing with other dogs in our neighborhood. But, he has loved being an inside dog and having so much attention all day long. He is like a different dog...quite mellow and loves to sleep!

We did have to do a pretty big makeover on him before he could be an inside dog! He was really dirty, scruffy, and shed a lot! So we took him one afternoon to a fun little shop called "That Dirty Dog". We were able to have a great time washing him in the HUGE spa tubs that they have and we also gave him a special treatment called the "furminator"! Sounds a little scary, but it is like a huge vacuum that sucks his hair...ending shedding problems for up to 2 months. Sign us up!

But, over all he has had a great time and so have we. And for those of you who know my husband...the answer is yes, Jay loves having Pacey here and they are now big buddies. He even takes him on his last walk of the evening! Amazing, I know!

He and I run every morning about 1 1/2 miles and we really enjoy getting out and starting our day with some good exercise...otherwise this will happen. We caught some footage of our crazy apartment dog...
