We are in the midst of our first Families on Mission trip! We are having an amazing time here and God is doing awesome things. Today was super special for me, because I was able to be with a little girl named Nina when she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior. Please pray for Nina as she does not have a family that is teaching her Truth at home. They are not against it...but not interested in salvation themselves.
I didn't bring my chord to download my photos to our computer, so I'll have lots of photos to share with you from the week. Our family has been so blessed to be a part of this mission trip together! So many times Jay and I have been overseas or on mission trips here in the States...but this is the first time we have been on a mission trip as a family together (without one of us leading!).
We have become like family with our team (there are over 100 of us at this location) and we have fallen in love with the campers at the campground we are leading VBS at every day. It is amazing seeing families ministering together! This trip is super special to our family and I will never forget this trip together.
Our girls have been vital in sitting with new children, taking their hands and leading them into an unfamiliar group, hugging senior citizens at the nursing homes, praying for the lost, and being amazing examples of faith. What an opportunity God has given us all to see the gifts we have been given by the Holy Spirit! All glory goes to Him alone...without Him we are nothing.
We have one final day of ministry tomorrow and then we have our send off on Thursday morning. We may stay a little longer and do some fun things around here. There's lots of cool things to do...we'll see.
Thanks for your prayers. Please continue to pray for us and our team as we serve our awesome Lord...it's a BLAST!
