This weekend the girls headed with Jay to Alabama to go to the circus with my family. I was attending and sharing at the Georgia Baptist Ministers' Wives retreat. He was so wonderful to drive all that way to take the girls and then drive them back...all in one day! The girls were going to stay for the whole weekend with my parents, but my nephew came down with the flu and so we decided to wait until a weekend when everyone was feeling better and they could all have fun together!
The girls are helping me with this post since I didn't get to go to this amazing night! This night was sponsored by the Make-A-Wish foundation and my mom gave us this for Christmas. These tickets were for those who had made donations to Make-A-Wish! What a cool thing!!!

Here the girls get to have their charicture made by an artist! They are doing a great job!

The evening began with a dinner and show by the performers. Here the bongo players put on a show while people enjoyed a yummy meal! It looks like such a fun party!

Local vendors were responsible for the food! McDonalds, Milo's, etc offered food. It was VERY kid friendly food! Anli enjoyed a Bar B Q sandwich. She is the BEST eater because she is always up for trying new foods and she is adventurous with her tastes. I love that about her!

Then, all the kids were called up to the front for some dancing! Here they are doing the YMCA. Anli is in the center in the purple. She is jamming out. They said it was so much fun!!

Face painting was one their favorite parts of the evening!

Anli chose to be a leopard! Isn't she the cutest? They did a great job on her!

Virginia gets her pretty face painted!

She is prettiest little butterfly ever! She loves butterflies, so I wasn't surprised that she chose this. So, precious...that smile melts my heart. I so wish I had been there!

Our family had a whole row! They had the best time! Virginia is digging into her cotton candy...and my sweet hubby brought me back a bag because he knows how much I love cotton candy!

Peyton, Anli, Sassy, Martha, and Pal watch the show intently! They said it was amazing.

The show begins!

The elephants on parade!

These are the acrobats! They were on this big mat that rocked back and forth. They would throw people up to the top acrobats and go from person to person. They girls said it was really neat to see all that flipping around!

These two ladies were about to be shot out of a double cannon. They were the first women to do this. It was a little scary they said!

Look at all those elephants...wow!

Anli tells me that now she wants to be a tiger trainer...um...yikes! That's what every mom wants to hear. But, it is neat to see those big cats and their trainer. I would be so scared!

This was our favorite part of the circus last year! It's like human hamster wheel. It is so high and so fast that it's a little scary to watch. The girls said that the men got on the outside and ran really fast and sat on them as they rolled around.

Look at all that confetti! It was a wonderful Christmas gift and we are so grateful to Sassy and Pal for taking everyone! I missed being there, but was so thankful that Jay was able to enjoy this with the girls. To know that the proceeds went to Make-A-Wish!
