Steve and his girls...

Steve and Nicki are some our very closest friends (they are on the far right). They have been there through thick and thin and have weathered some pretty rough storms with us. We have had great times at the beach, the lake, and more amazing conversations than I can count...but we have also gone through some rough times too. That makes a great friendship!

Well, this is one of those tough times for their family. About 2 years ago, they had their gorgeous daughter Campbell (with parents as beautiful as Nick and Steve...it's not hard to see where she gets it from!). A few months ago they called us with WONDERFUL news...they were pregnant with twin girls! Yep, Steve is THE MAN! He is going to have 4 gorgeous girls in his house.
Well, I got an email today that Nicki has been placed on hospital bed rest for the next 3-4 months. Now, I can't even imagine my friend Nicki even sitting down for more than 3-4 MINUTES much less laying down completely for the next 3-4 months. But, she is doing great and the twins are just fine and Steve says their spirits are high. Campbell loves the sofa bed...what a precious little thing she is!
I know most of you don't know Steve, Nicki, and Campbell but please lift them up as you are reading this. We know God has all of this in His hand, but they would love your prayers as they find this new normal for a while.
This weekend I won't be posting much, because Jay's family is taking the girls to visit aunts and uncles in Lower Alabama...or you can just refer to it as LA! So, Jay and I have lots of fun "couple" things to do this weekend. We couldn't go because of Easter and Jay teaching Sunday School and helping with the children's department. We will miss the girls, but it is nice to have a long weekend just the two of us! Jay is taking off Monday also so that we can have more time to hang out together. The girls should be home on Tuesday, and we'll sure be ready for them to come home! So, I won't be doing much posting this weekend, but I'll be sure to update when life returns to our happy normal.
